Uninstalling VT Desktop Alerts in Windows 7 / 8 / 10

  1. Click the Start button.

    Click the Start button.

  2. Type: uninstall

  3. As you type, results will appear and change. Select Uninstall VTDesktopAlerts.

    Select Uninstall VTDesktopAlerts.

  4. In the user account control window, click the Yes button.

  5. To start the uninstall process, click the Uninstall button.

    Click the Uninstall button.

  6. When the process is completed, click the Close button.

    Click the Close button.

Using a Proxy with VT Desktop Alerts

  1. Click the Start button.

    Click the Start button.

  2. Type: command prompt

  3. As you type, results will appear and change. Right-click Command Prompt.

  4. Select Run as administrator.

    Select Run as administrator.

  5. In the user account control window, click the Yes button.

    Click the Yes button.

  6. At the command prompt, type: netsh winhttp set proxy-server="http=ABC". Replace ABC with the name or address of your proxy server.
