  1. Start Mail.

  2. From the Mail drop-down list, select Accounts...

  4. Select the Add an LDAP account radio button.

  5. Click the Create... button.

  7. In the Search Base: text box, type: ou=people,dc=vt,dc=edu

  8. In the Server Address: text box, type: directory.vt.edu

  1. Log on to Windows with an account that has computer administrator privileges.

  2. Start Outlook.

  3. Select the File tab.

  14. In the Display Name text box, type the name you want for the LDAP address book.

    Select the Conneciton tab.

  15. Select the Search tab.

  16. Under Server Settings, in the text boxes, type the server settings that you want.

  17. Under Search Base, select the Custom: radio button.

  18. In the Custom: text box, type ou=people,dc=vt,dc=edu

  19. Click OK.

    Click OK.

  20. Click the Next button.

    Click the Next button.

  21. Click the Finish button.

    Click the Finish button.

  22. Click the Close button.

    Click the Close button.

  23. Restart Outlook.
